Mr. Hennessy owns his own company, which focuses on providing microbial diagnoses and advice on how to correct wastewater treatment problems.

Ryan also has over 15 years of hands-on experience as a wastewater operator and managing an industrial pretreatment plant. During his work as an operator he became especially interested in the microscopic examination of wastewater and how to use microscopy to troubleshoot and / or optimize the wastewater treatment process. He established a close working relationship with Dr. Michael Richard and his skills and experience in microscopic analysis of wastewater greatly benefited from this mentorship.
