Professional Training Association is excited to announce we are now offering a LIVE ONLINE “Collection Operator 1 & 2 Review & Exam Prep” workshop.

Wastewater operations do not start at the wastewater treatment facility but include the sewer collection system, which consists of conveyance pipes, pumps, and lift stations. Many of the problems we encounter in the wastewater treatment plant also cause headaches in the collections systems. Grease build-up, debris blocking screens, root penetrating pipes and tanks, grid build up, pump failure, increased flow, etc. are only a few of the challenges collection systems are dealing with on a daily basis.

Our LIVE ONLINE “Collection Operator 1 & 2 Review & Exam Prep” workshop consists of four 3.5 hour sessions held over a two week period providing a total of 14 hours of class time.

This class is designed to help you prepare for your upcoming Collection Operator 1 or 2 Exam. We will review the processes, components, equipment and math encountered in collection systems and practice exam style questions. After completing this training, you will be able to determine on which areas you may want to focus your study efforts while continuing your exam preparations.

In this workshop we will:

• Review:
  1. The principles of collection systems operations.
  2. Commonly encountered components and equipment, including their operation, maintenance, & troubleshooting.
  3. Challenges encountered in collection systems.
  4. Biological, chemical, or physical parameters frequently monitored in collection systems.
  5. Sample collection procedures.
  6. Safety hazards.
• Explain how to understand and answer word problems.
• Address math formulas as they apply to collection systems.
• Provide many opportunities to practice exam style questions.
• Share tips for how to prepare yourself for the exam.
• Explore test taking techniques.
