Rocky was an operator, consultant, and manager for 38 years in the water and wastewater industry before becoming an editor and instructor of these subjects. He has experience in wastewater collection, wastewater treatment, water treatment, and water distribution. He also possesses Arizona Grade 4 certifications in those four disciplines. After retiring, Ken is now excited about sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge about these fascinating subjects of water and wastewater treatment with other operators!

Ken has degrees in Geology, Environmental Studies, Water Science, and Business Administration. Throughout his career he also completed 7 of the Sacramento State courses and is well aware of what it takes to be or become a certified operator.
