Surface Water Treatment

Surface water has been utilized as a source for potable water for many decades. Throughout the years we have learned about new challenges and new developments in treatment technologies are making it possible and affordable to treat water sources that previously have been out of reach.

In this two day “Surface Water Treatment” workshop we will explain the terminology and equipment generally used in surface water treatment. We will also discuss the main processes and commonly applied treatment technology as they apply to raw water, presedimentation, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection.

Furthermore, in this workshop, you will learn about the regulatory requirements and specific to surface water treatment and practice math formulas as they apply to the treatment process.

Throughout our two day “Surface Water Treatment” workshop we will utilize real life scenarios to demonstrate how to apply this information in process operations. To help you better understand and become comfortable with how to apply the material covered in this class we will work through a variety of exercises reflecting problems and situations you may encounter while working with a myriad of chemical, physical and thermal processes.
